Vancouver is a city mixed with great landscape and great people. Rain or shine, there are always activities for everyone to enjoy whether outside or in. Located in the heart of the lower mainland it is a city that is within close distance to everything. Burnaby, the North shore, Richmond and the Fraser Valley are all within easy travelling.
When one thinks of Vancouver, usually it is assumed that the areas around such as Burnaby, North Vancouver, Richmond, and West Vancouver are all included. When in truth these cities are all independent from Vancouver located in the Lower Mainland.
Known as one of the largest metropolitan cities in Western Canada with a population just over 550,000. It is known best for its beautiful landscapes, keeping its natural beauty within the urban city. With easy access to the Pacific Ocean as well as the mountains on the North Shore, Vancouver is constantly being rated as the best city to live in.
Luckily the temperature for Vancouver is very moderate. It is the second warmest city in Canada after Victoria, during the winter months. Rain may fall for long periods of time but the temperature usually stays warm. During the summer the sun is shining with an average temperature of 22°C and July is the best time of the year for visitors and tourists. Although it is rare, sometimes in the winter snow will fall in the areas located by the mountains or ones located higher above sea level.
Generally a laid back city with many different cultures, activities, and lively cultural scenes Vancouver is one of the best cities to live in.
